Do You Have Sorority Preference Party Invitations? Do you offer invitations for other events too?
We have many cards that are suitable for sorority preference party invitations. Some chapters use a folded card, others prefer a flat card. Truly Sisters has both. We can coordinate your Preference Party Invitation to match your chapter’s Bid Day Invitation Card. If you have ANY events that require a high quality custom invitation, Truly Sisters is here to make that happen, we will be happy to help you with selection process.
Do You Have Sorority Thank You Notes?
We have several designs that can be made into a Thank You Note for your chapter. We will design and print a thank you (acknowledgement) to present to your sorority alumnae for recommendations during sorority recruitment.
Can I change the fonts and colors on the cards that are shown on the website?
Of Course you can! Just let us know what style you would like to see and we will be happy to accommodate your sorority chapter. We want your group to have a bid day card or invitation that is just perfect!

Invitations For Your Sorority Preference Party
The Preference Party Invitations that your chapter selects are the party equivalent of a first impression. They reflect on you and your sorority and provide the potential new member (rushee) with a hint of what's in store for them at your sorority. Make the right first impression when you select invitations for your chapter’s Preference Party.
- Begin the invitation with a formal greeting requesting the potential new member’s presence. Include a quote or byline from your sorority's mission statement. Truly Sisters can easily incorporate personalized messages into your invitations.
- State the date and time of the event. Sororities likely will want to hold their recruitment events at their organization's house, which may be on or off campus. If the event is held in the afternoon or early evening, indicate if the dress is casual.
- Announce if there will be a special event included in the informational meeting, such as a guest speaker or featured musical performance. Including information about fun activities will help entice potential new members to attend the event.
- Include items such as glitter or confetti in the envelopes of your invitation to make them sparkle. You can make the invitation even more spectacular by including a guest pass or code word to make your party seem like an exclusive event.
- List items the invitee should bring with her, including completed application materials (if appropriate). Include if it is suitable for the student to bring a guest.
- Choose recycled paper for all your sorority's invitations to help make a difference in the environment. All of Truly Sisters Preference Party Invitations are printed in the U.S.A. on 100% recycled paper.
Addressing Envelopes
Ink
- Always address envelopes with black or dark blue ink.
Name
- Do not use abbreviations when addressing envelopes. “Miss Potential New Member” is always appropriate!
- Do not use abbreviations in your social stationery with the exception of non-professional titles such as Ms., Mrs., etc.
- Professional titles such as "Doctor" should be spelled out.
Address
- Write all house numbers in numeral form (1, 2, 3...). The number "one," is the only exception—spell it out when it stands alone (e.g. One College Campus Way).
- Write dorm room, apartment numbers, suite numbers and zip codes in numeral form.
- Avoid state abbreviations.
- Do not abbreviate common address words like "Street," "Boulevard" and "Avenue."
Return Address
- Print your sorority chapter’s return address on the closed back flap of the envelope.
- Center the recipient's address on the front of the envelope.
- Use the same color of ink and font style on the envelope that you used for the invitation or announcement inside.
- Exclude your name from the return address. For a nominal price, Truly Sisters can provide custom printed envelopes with your chapter address imprinted on the envelope or front of the envelope.
Stuffing
- The printed side of the bid day card, preference party invitation, or recommendation acknowledgement should be the side facing the recipient when she opens the stationery, so be sure to stuff your envelopes with the printed side of your invitations and cards facing the flap of the envelope.
